This is an ideal stopover for the self-sufficient traveler, someone who appreciates comfort, but also likes to be independent.  Our hostel is located right in the center of Severobaikalsk, a 10-minute walk from the train station.  Our staff speaks English, and also can give you good local advice on the best hikes, road trips, places to eat, etc.  Plus there is free access to the internet. Lyudmila’s Bed and Breakfast Inn

Your hosts here are down-to-earth people who love living in the countryside.  Their home is full of home-made arts and personal keep-sakes, which gives it a real warm sense of home-iness and comfort.  We can accommodate up to four people, with a private Russian sauna (banya), as well as home-cooked meals (with ingredients taken straight from the family garden).  Internet access available.  Located just three minutes from the local tram stop, and also very close to one of our famous hot springs.   For more details on these accommodations (please click here).

Village home-stay at the house of Elena Dubovenko

The Olympic Hotel

This Severobaikalsk hotel has comfortable rooms right here in the center of town.  We have deluxe rooms available.  Each room has cable TV (with 40 channels) and DVD player, mini-bar, fridge, private shower and WC, free Wi-Fi internet, and samovar.  There are 16 rooms in all, with space for up to 35 guests total.  We also have a conference hall for meetings and a small, fully equipped business center.  Parking also available. Transsib

Let us meet in Taishet!

Taishet is located at the middle point of the Trans-siberian railway (Transib) and is the starting point of the BAM railway. Many people stop in Taishet before continuing their journey on  the Transsib
or taking the northern route called BAM (Baikal-Amur-Mainline) which passed on the north side of Lake Baikal.
There are direct connections to Moscow, Novosibirsk, Irkutsk, Severobaikalsk, Abakan, Ulan-Ude, Tynda and other cities.

We offer you accomodations in our cozy house, where you feel at home. We have 2 spare rooms, a bathroom, traditional Russian banya, free internet, delicious meals (you will get to sample fresh produce from our garden) and unforgetable musical evenings!
